Just found the local chapter forum and wanted to ask about good service shops for a stock LS400. My car has no modifications what so ever and don't plan to have, but will need the 90,000 service pretty soon. I'm a 925 area code. Was planning on using my own independent shop, but still not sure. He does not work on many Lexus.

Another good member of ClubLexus suggested a shop in San Mateo, but it's a bit far for me.

san mateo i don't know, but a lot of people go to exact motorsport for services, including me. very very good people. they are in milpitas though

 

Rominl, I got the impression that exact motorworks was strong in modified and/or high performance work. Is your Lexus stock and have you had them perform the 90,000 mile service?

oh your impression is half right they work on highly modified cars too, but more importantly they are just as knowledgeable on auto maintenance, if not more. they perform all kind of service, oil change, timing belts, etc... jawnthen did the 60k service there and he had nothing but good stuff to say. me together with other guys (rmmgs4, redgs4, synergy, to name a few) always go there for all fluid change, check up, etc... and every time our cars have problems here and there, we go there for advises. that's a really good place. (disclaimer, i don't get commision for saying all these, lol)

basically to me this is one of the very few shops where they do highly modified vehicle, and yet they are true mechanics
