I believe every car should have their own "motorola" type mini radios as well to help keep us all together if we get a big enough group... we might elect group leaders who share Cell numbers... too, to keep folks together in smaller clumps so we are not trying to keep 30+ IS's in a train together all the way up....
if the numbers are smaller,.... like 15 total,... we can hopefully manage this fairly easily with phones & radios, & such....regardless it will be good to roll out in force & in case any one has a problem, we can all help get it fixed fast.......

anyone else here want to mabey hit some of those BADASS central cali secondary roads....?? I have found some KILLER freaking roads less traveled thru the central part of the state between Santa Barbara & SF.... literally... roads to die for... good clean surface. GREAT twists & turns etc & NO ONE ON THEM for the most part...... these roads make for some SWEET *** driving i tell ya.... here is a pic or two......

May I suggest you guys keep a reasonable pace up Hwy 5 on the way up. I'd like to see you all make it to the meet without mishap. As you will see in the following thread, travelling 350 miles and getting in an accident 5 minutes away from your final destination sucks.

On the other hand YOU GUYS will own the road. Through FM radio, you basically can control the flow of traffic. Our lead car would pass, then block, let everyone through, then tuck in behind.
On the inverse, when the rear cars would get passed on the right lane, we'd have a front car block the right lane to prevent passing, then slow down and let the convoy cars pass and then the last car would let the blocking car back in.
I remember our tail guy cut cut off by some jerk passing on the right lane. He radioed ahead and we blocked that car from passing the convoy , but we also pulled over and let every other motorist by us. We blocked him for over a hundered miles. LOL Taught him a lesson !
I'm not suggesting you guys should do this, but that guy really deserved it. He almost ran our guy off the road !
Maybe you can take the "scenic" twisty backroads on the way home?

We're taking the 5 for time saving reasons. Hence the meet point in Santa Clarita to capture the LA/OC/SGV and IE people all in one spot. Less complicated and easy to find.

hehe i'm plenty calm bro... but i organize shizzel for a living.... i cannot help it...
and organizing a convoy such as this means alot of planning & things to consider... i am just helping to get people thinking about the different issues & what to prepare for & keep in mind for the run...
positive energy is a good thing...
the bad news is ... i will NOT be making this event now........
yeah i know ..
but My Wife has spilled the beans that she was planning to take me to Las Vegas for the Champ car race at LVMS that sat the 25th... a Birthday present to me .. ( once she finds out about the SC i just got myself for My Bday.... she MIGHT just be so pissed she blows it off... but i doubt it .. .she loves Las Vegas....)
we are big time auto racing fans & love Champ cars like nothing else... & I am committed to supporting my struggling racing series & checking out as many as i can get to & i can afford to attend...
I am soo bummed...... i was stoked for this... & will so miss rollin up to the scene in force... DAM Nwe would definuitely have RULED the road..... well y'all will just have to do this wiffout me....
