hey bay area lexus owners
I just got a GS4 and was wondering if you guys could suggest a good dealership to go to in the Bay Area? 408, 650, 415 are all fine. What have your experiences been with them and how satisifed are you? Is there someone I should ask for from each dealership? I'm new to all this, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have personal experience with Lexus of Serramonte and Putnam Lexus.
Serramonte - very good service people and proactive in helping you. I believe they are the only Elite status Lexus dealership for the last 5 years.
Putnam - used to be great but they've lost their best service reps. The service is still good but you have to manage that relationship more than at Serramonte. They forgot to wash my RX300 last time but this week during the next service they gave it a complete detail. Their best people went to Stevens Creek Lexus so maybe that service dep't is very good now but it's a little far for me to go to get my cars serviced.
Hope that helps.

Stevens Creek is a Penske Run dealership, so that alone says they run a first class operation.
As you know Stevens Creek is sponsoring the EOS V3 meet. We teamed up with this dealership because of their reputation. It is the main reason why we are holding the meet at their service center. During the meet they will give tours of their operation . It is quite an impressive facility.
I am trying to get them to hand out special discount coupons for the meet, so you might wanna wait till after the meet, before doing any service.

Rominl,
Cool. I just want to see whether any of you guys had any of the GS4 related problems, like front end shake, low idle?
I just got a 2000 GS4 with 52k and I already know I have the low idle problem and front end shake problem. Do any of you have either problem and have you taken it to the dealer? Were they open to helping you? I've researched and read that some dealerships may or may not help. Thanks!

i've always dealth with lexus of serramonte... and they have good service, always keeping me on updates and stuff... can't compare the level as i've never been to any other lexus dealership but from what i can tell, they are above the acura level... my friend just tried to get her type s tranny synchros replaced cuz they causing her gears to grind... they even have a service bulletin out for that problem but they won't fix it because her vin isn't within the range.... now here's the kicker, they didn't even take it for a test drive to see what was wrong... so much for acura doin the warranty work.... but at lexus of serramonte... they've always done what was needed... in fact when i added in the exact part that had to be changed, they were able to lower the time they had my car... great service overall
