timing belt service for 1998 gs400

Default timing belt service for 1998 gs400

where is a good place with decent price to get my timing belt, water pump service done at in the bay area? how much does dealer charge and how much do other places charge? i just bought my lexus and have no recond of the previous owners maintence.. i flushed my tranny and coolant, replaced my airfilter and cabin air filter already... what other services do i need other than the timing belt, water pump? btw. i got 140k on it

if you have 140k, i think the timing should have been changed once before already. did you check on the belt to see the wear?

a lot of us go to exact motorsport in milpitas for service and mods, it's a great place

check the belt for wears? isnt the timing belt inside the engine? as for the accessory belt, i changed that already

By running the VIN number, any Lexus dealer can access all service records in the car's history that were performed by any Lexus dealership anywhere in the country. Though it may not be 100% complete if work was done by owner or independent shop, it still is worthwhile to check. There is no cost to look and you find out if routine maintainance was done on a regular basis as well as any problems that came up
