Default GoKart Racer GTG3?

Did anyone else get the email from GoKart Racer in Burlingame? It has a coupon for Saturday nights (6pm-11pm) in January for buying a race at regular price and getting a practice session free ($25 savings). There's also a coupon for $10 off a race or super race anytime through 1/31/05.

Does this mean its a good excuse to meet up again and race? And the good thing is all this rain this past week and upcoming forecasts for rain will not hinder this outing. So does anyone else feel this way? The need for speed.

I'm thinking real hard about it.

I was thinking of going after the GTG dinner this coming Monday night? Respond to that thread if you wanna join us for dinner or just meet at Go Kart afterwards.

It would probably end up happening after 9pm if it did at all.

Can't do it this weekend, so if not Monday then maybe next weekend.

Yeah, I'm really iffy for this Monday 1/3/05. I'd prefer to go on a weekend in Jan. (except on 1/8)

hey James,

I might be in on one of these weekends. I've been trying to get some of my friends to go, maybe if I give them enough lead time they will be able to make it. I'll be at the mini meet tonight, but I doubt I'll go karting. We'll see how late it is.

That works for me Ron. The 17th is my B-Day. What time and where do you want to meet.

Dunno if I can do the 15th but if anyone's bored Wednesday night and has $60 to spare, they're doing the leagues thing.
I went last Wednesday and had a blast.
I could feel (as well as see by the printouts) myself improving in one night.
For $60 you get to do 4 races, each preceded by qualifying.
Grand total of 48 minutes on the track which is pretty good for the price considering if you do 2 regular races (40 minute total), you pay $95.

Hope to see yall there.

The 15th sounds good to me....except for one thing, it is gonna depend on my left ankle, just sprained it pretty bad yesterday. I've been hobbling around, can't really walk. Hoping for a quick recovery.

Default Is the GTG still on?

Since I haven't heard anything lately and I don't see a list of confirmed attendees. Just wanted to chime in and see if this is still gonna happen. Let me know.

Heh.
Went again last night and did horrible.
For one race I got a car that couldn't make a right turn if it's life depended on it.
They double-booked like idiots (league+private party @ same time) and all the guys were pissed at delays and the driving reflected it.
I got pretty banged up, especially when I got slammed sideways into a wall at pretty close to full speed.
Now my elbow is swollen and my ankle hurts.
Rough sport as it turns out!
Be carefull out there.
