Hey all,

My Camry (good thing I didnt drive the Lexus) got hit by a mindless driver tonight. The guy was driving a 4Runner and nudged the area behind the left rear wheel pretty good. He also took out my left rear view mirror. Anyway, I need to know what bodyshop in the area you guys recommend. The repair is going to be covered 100% so I want to do it good. Any recommendation?

i went to allen's autobody couple years ago for insurnace repair, they are in san carlos, and they are very very good. they charge very expensive too but who cares right?

That sounds great. Yeah, insurance would cover the cost so i'd rather do it right at a right place. It is kind of far from my house (Fremont) and work (Cupertino) though. Any more suggestions?

I had some work done on my GS at Magnussen's Car West on Old Middlefield in Mtn View. Allen's is good, and so is Automotive Enterprises a couple of doors down in San Carlos, but they're too inconvenient for me as well (I live/work in Cupertino). If you go to Magnussen's, make sure to ask for Ray, and tell him Pete with the Lexus GS400 sent you. Ray knows his stuff. Also, they're the body shop for Toyota of Palo Alto (also Magnussen's), so they know Toyotas.

I went to Works Auto Body in Santa Clara, not far from the Costco on Coleman. They did FANTASTIC work on body fittiment and paint. The insurance estimator came to view the results after the work was done, and was equally impressed. He said that Works is one of his best shops. Also just one look in their shop at the cars they work on, Ferrari's, BMW's, etc., gave me a good feeling about their quality.
