Flipside and ALL CL'ers,

Don't worry, I want to pick a date that almost everyone will be able to join.

Here's another pass at this:

[TENTATIVE) SUGGESTED DATE/TIME: SATURDAY, APRIL 16 OR
(TENTATIVE) SUGGESTED DATE/TIME: SATURDAY, APRIL 23

As soon as you let us know your definite plans/schedules and pick which either date,
I'll go ahead and start getting a head count for the confirmed date/time.

thanks....teeman3

Count me in.
I'll be in the 3rd leg east/north/sf bay group.
Any weekend would work for me, unless last min. thing comes up.

1st LEG Group (SouthBay) joins 2nd LEG Group and then 3rd LEG Group.

Then, we prceed on a route to TWIN PEAKS.

well if we are talking about a big group of more than 10 cars, it's never easy to get through city and stuff on the road with all traffic lights. so you might actually want to minimize group driving unless it's on freeway or roads with less lights.

just my 2 cents thogh

You know how freakin lost we got last time we wnt through the city?

There's no way we won't get separated by stoplights , cutting in traffic etc. It took us like 20-30 minutes to find each other and meet up in one place. We lost a lot of time just trying to stay together.

When we were up at Twin peaks we even got separated before we made it to the bottom !!!!!

How bout we NOT travel through the city this time?

Here's the article I wrote and the video of the last cruise meet BTW.

that's not a bad idea neither, meeting up in the city could be a real pain. remember how long it took just the camera crew to get through 92?

i know there is a stripe of road north of the golden gate bridge, it's twisties and a lot of exotic cars going around there. that could be one night route. otherwise, having quite a few cars going on skyline and then get on 280 all the way back down to san jose that's not a bad idea too. pretty nice road around half moon bay area

I totally agree. TWIN PEAKS was too winding and getting thru the city w/ all those traffic lights was a hassle. too many obstables. we learn from our mistakes and hopefully we can improve w/ this next upcoming meet.

so I guess TWIN PEAKS is out.
thru the streets of SF w/ those dang traffic lights is out.

How about SF to Southbay to Monterey? (this may be too far and time consuming?)
How about SF to Half Moon Bay?
Or Santa Cruz to Half Moon Bay?
Or like Rominl suggested, the skyline to 280 to southbay route; stripe of road north of the golden gate bridge?

There's got to be a small route where we get from point A to B easily, smoothly and be less obstacles to encounter.

i think santa cruz and monterey might be a bit far, not sure if all people would wanna do that, but for sure it's going to be cool drive, and maybe a nice dinner or so there (that will make everyone enjoy the sunset too)

Talking S.F.Cruise Meet 2

Just a suggetion, but how about meeting at Skyline College. Then we could all go down Sharp Park Road and from there we could get onto Highway 1 all the way to Santa Cruz. We could just kick back at the Board Walk and watch the sun set, have dinner then cruise back home from there.

I believe that will be around an hour. Nice suggestion Will, could that be cause skyline is just up the road.

BC-GS430,

oh yes. what a terrific suggestion. I've checked the map and it seems like a smooth sailing cruise route. ETA from point A to point B is about one hour (pending traffic).

http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp...20Universities

Skyline College (SF) onto Sharp Park Road merging into Highway 1 and from there it's smooth sailing all the way down to San Cruz Beach Boardwalk.

I've taken Highway 1 from Monterey all the way up to Half Moon Bay and it's a nice scenic ride.
Highway 1 is a scenic route no matter from what location you start at.

If everyone buys into this, we can have SouthBay group meet at Skyline College and proceed to go from there.

Can't take credit for it. It was TAMR_GUS98 (Will's suggestion). It should be a nice cruise though.
