seems like the cop was pretty nice bringing them to the spot for pictures and stuff. guess it's just couple of people decided to go a bit fast at the light and that caught the pd's attention

Basically, right as we were coming through the gates, a squad car noticed all the nice shiny ISs in a row and pulled in behind us.
I was holding up the back, so for about a half mile into the base the cop had been following me, while the guys in front did the California Stop repeatedly (you know....when you don't do a full stop at the stop sign)
Anyways, when we got to the spot where we were gonna take pictures and parked, the cop drove up and told us to break it up.
Rolo explained to him that we were just trying to take some pictures and after a few minutes of conversation, the cop escorted us to a nice spot (first picture is showing the cop escorting us in)
The cop left, and we hung out for a good hour or more taking some pictures and playing around with the RC car.
When it was time to leave, nobody really knew how to get to the freeway, so we all decided to follow Brian because he had a map.
When we pulled out of the front gate and got to the first stoplight, Brian took a right(?) while the rest of us lined up at the red to go straight.
Brian did a U-tun (I'm pretty sure it wasn't legal) just as the light turned green for us.
It was a 2 lane road and when the light turned, the 2 ISs in the front gunned it, I went after them.
About 1/8 of a mile later I glanced in the rearview mirror and saw 2 squad cars fly around the corner that Brian had just turned to catch up to us.
I took the next sidestreet thinking either:
a) The cops would follow the car that looks like it's trying to get away and therefore the IS guys would be home free
OR
b) They'd follow the IS group and leave me alone
To my surprise, what happened was the latter.
I stuck around for a few minutes and went to look down the street to see what happened.
I saw 3 ISs pulled over and decided to leave in case they had gotten my plate # down.
Rolo tells us that he saw the unit that had escorted us at the corner-store at that light when he was leaving (Rolo left 5 minutes earlier).
The fact that the cops went after the ISs and ignored me alltogether tells me that the cop told them to look out for speeding ISs.
I really hope those guys get their cars back unmarked, but the cops were ready to see some racing and they saw some, so the tickets are probably gonna stick.
I wish them all luck and advise to keep the racing on the track. (Yeah, I know I'm not one to preach )

I didn't get the turbo so it would look cool, because it doesn't; I got it to go fast.
I do need to chill though.
Good thing I wasn't one of the cars at the line of the light....I would have been GONE! Haha.

Teeman, you should PM every single person on your list to confirm instead of just posting a list of people. That way you can weed out the flakers. We're just over a week away.

edfrsd,
well, both events are great! Adult Con8 in LA is annually, right?
SF Cruise Meet 2 is (hopefully) going to be an annual event.
Last year was a different cruise route thru the San Mateo Bridge, up TWIN PEAKS (overlooking the city of SF) and thru the Golden Gate Bridge.
This year, we've decided on a different scenic route ......from SF to Santa Cruz.
Therefore, ft the SF Cruise Meet is annually, then expect to see a different scenic drive every year.
I dont' know if we are going to have a SF Cruise Meet3 next year or not.
When the time gets closer, someone from NorCal will step it up and set it up.
Definitely, the cruise route will be different for next year.
Adult Con8 is an annual thing and the scene doesn't change much other than newer faces, products, etc.
here's last year's cruise meet:

Man, that looks awesome.. I already have Firday and Monday off for that weekend. Attending the Cruise is still my plans for that weekend. I guess with the price of gas on the rise since the start of this thread kind of concerns me since I will be making the trip to Hayward. So for now, count me as "IN".
