Well, Krispy Kreme, which is a landmark in the Union Landing complex and has a large parking lot outside of the Albertsons is located at:

32450 Dyer St Union City

(Whipple exit off 880S, then left on Dyer).

I will do anything at all costs to avoid construction on the city side of the Bay Bridge approach, the $3 toll to the governator and the crappy 101 through the peninsula (not like the 880 is any better haha).

Not Union Landing... The pavers at the entrances and in the parking lot are sinking - that's where I toasted my front bumper. Hit a paver sink hole.

Be careful around the little used entrances on the backside like the one's near TGIF's.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that. I'm definitely open to suggestions in that case b/c that concerns me too.

Hmm...somewhere near Automall Parkway?

Chris, file a claim with the city of Union City for that pothole. Talk to the city clerk's office for a claim form for your damages if it happened on the street itself.

There is a new Costco off of the Automall Parkway. Lots of parking, easy access to 880. That whole area has just been built up. Lots of new stores and restaurants.
Sorry to hear about the damage to your car Redgs4(Chris) I hope everything is o.k.

Yeah I drive by there every day for work. It's a whole new mall.

Not a bad place to hang out.

I suggest we park near a food or coffee shop over there. Might as well get a drink or something while waiting for others.

Not many cars there at all and a ton of parking.

Now Union Landing is another story. On the weekend, where are the open parking areas? It will suck if we can't locate each other. There's not many places to park 3-4 cars in a row. How will the newbies be able to identify us if we're not parked together ??

That's a great idea.

I always use the Jolibee/Starbucks side of Union Landing as a meeting spot. But it's a pain to get around the parking lot and out to the freeway without losing someone at a light either on Dyer or Alvarado Niles.

Glen,
I work in that area. Maybe we should hook up for lunch some day if you work in the same area.
This would be an ideal place for the 3RD LEG GROUP - EAST BAY to meet up. It's right off of the Auto Mall Parkway exit off of 880. Just have to decide which land mark you guys want to meet at. This place is huge.

I second the motion. 3RD LEG GROUP - EAST BAY

Location: Automall Parkway - STARBUCKS COFFEE
http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp...yWSV5rPN6PL5Ny

Automall Parkway is off of Highway 880 in the city of Newark/Fremont, CA.
As you exit Automall Parkway, go towards the West direction.

There's a new shopping center on your LEFT hand side and STARBUCKS is highly visible from Automall Parkway. Plenty of Parking and easy on/easy off from Highway 880.

Does everyone agree on this Location as the 3RD LEG GROUP - EAST BAY?

pls advise....teeman3

I think that's a great idea. Good suggestion TAMR and Glen. I'm down for that.

Like mentioned earlier, there is parking early morning on weekends on the Krispy Kreme/Jollibee/Starbucks side of Union Landing, but it is a pain to get everyone out and around together to the freeway with the lights plus any cautions about the entrances/exits not being friendly to lowered cars. Plus if it's crowded, like Glen said it'd be tough for people to find everyone.

Automall Starbucks it is!
