Cool, we'll look for you there...don't worry about waking up, we'll be outside a Starbucks after all!

Glen--Please reserve a dark blue CL decal for me if you can for when you meet up with us at the 3rd leg!!!

Talking Santa Cruz BeachBoardwalk Discounts

I was at Costco the other day, and noticed they have a deal on 4 unlimited rides tickets for $75 which is regularly $110.

that's a great deal. There's nothing like riding a good classic wooden roller coaster over and over again.

Just curious, how many cars are we expecting?

Hey you guys just fair warning, we should be careful with the spirited driving. Sure we're not going to be in Alameda, but it can happen to anyone:

http://my.is/forums/showthread.php?t=249221

I need to get some zip ties for my front plate for this trip just to be safe.

Wow! That bites!

Like any other meet of any car club, there's likely a chance that LE (Law Enforcement) will pass by or appear out of nowhere. Depending on the county/local laws surrounding the vicinity of such a location, LE has the jurisdiction of carrying out these fines.

If we are careful and use appropriate judgement on our actions, then we have nothing to worry about.

I remember last year's SF CRUISE MEET when 15-20 of us parked at the vista point end of the Golden Gate Bridge; 15 minutes later, CHP showed up w/ a tow truck and we all SCATTERED like a herd from the preying cheetah/lion. It reminded me of watching ANIMAL PLANET on TV.

The location was a tourist parking area, thus, heavily partrolled by LE. Therefore, LE was going to arrive sooner or later.

Like all meets, there's a risk factor. But what is life and having get-togethers like this is without risk? C'mon, folks, don't be too discouraged from the recent incident w/ the IS CLUB.
As a matter of fact, just think of it as a learning experience and knowing that our brothers/sisters are watching our back.

Depending the location, we do not want to overstay our brief visit.
Our purpose is to come in quietly and leave w/ stealth-like precision.

Please keep in mind the following guidelines, (I cannot stress this enough)
==========================================================
*When entering Skyline College, pls be aware of pedestrian crossings, security,
students, faculty and staff. (Pls watch the posted SPEED LIMIT SIGNS!)
*Pls DO NOT attempt to do burnouts, play loud music and NO racing.
*There may be class sessions during this time.
*We are visitors to the Skyline College campus and would like to be able
to ENTER and EXIT out of there w/out any issues.
*The same applies to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.

Thanks....teeman3

Good:

BAD:

Lesson learned: Police escort is better than tow-truck escort.

Let's make this meet a safe and enjoyable one.

Cheers,

Default I'm Back!

Hey Everyone,
I have been busy with family and work the past couple of months but I'm down to cruise! I'll bring along a buddy of mine who just picked up an IS. So count me in plus another car to meet up in Pinole.

Peace,

Mark

Yeah, that's what I didn't understand either...if they were escorted out, why wouldn't they keep driving like an old lady for another mile or so.
