I know this is very last minute but someone gave me 2 passes for all day adult lift tickets at Squaw Valley. In checking Squaw's website, they're open until May 30 w/ limited lifts. Is there one person out there that is interested in going for a one day trip? If I were to go, was thinking about this coming Sat, May 21st.

 

There's still snow up there?
I went probably about 1 month ago and it was complete slush and I decided that was it for the year.
Also, weather.com is predicting some rain up there on Wednesday/Thursday and if that happens I really don't think skiing condition will be very good.

I went a couple weeks ago and it was like skiing on mashed potatoes. They did get some new snow last week, but with the warmer temperatures and coming rain, the snow will probably be like rock salt.

 

Oh, I didn't realize snow conditions were that bad (slush, mashed potatoes), hadn't been up since Jan. And looking at the weather report you're right Alan, rain is predicted not snow (which might've made conditions tolerable. Oh wells, I guess I can't take advantage of the freebie.

 

i put up my board after spring break. I want to check out Squaw, i've only been to Boreal, Soda Springs, and Sierra.

 

I guess we'll have to wait til next season, as previous replies said snow condition wasn't good, plus Squaw only has limited lifts in operation. We should have a ski gtg next winter.

 

that's a damn good idea. I only went snowboarding a few times this year, it's pretty damn addictive...
