Technical Seminar Hosted by Custom Alignment
Did you Know:
Most alignment shops ONLY align to factory spec?
Aligning to factory spec IS NOT ideal for lowered cars?
Zero camber setting is not the best for handling or when using wider tires?
The ideal camber setting depends on how low your car is and the profile of your tires?
Inside tire wear can be minimized on cars with excessive negative camber?
Toe settings differ according to how low your car is and how much camber you have.
No two modded cars are exactly alike, so how can you determine what alignment settings are right for your car?
Learn what suspension tuning is all about.
Custom Alignment will be giving a free Technical Seminar starting at 10am. Learn the answers to these and many others by attending this seminar.
Local member cars will be set up on their racks to show how they set up suspensions.
They will have their race car on display.
They will also be raffling off discount gift certificates that day. (Must register to win)

More info about Custom Alignment
Custom Alignment IS NOT just an alignment shop. Consider them as a Suspension Tuner shop. It is typical to see race cars and exotic cars at their shop. Why? Because these guys are the Premier Experts at suspension tuning in the Bay Area. There are only a couple of other shops in the entire bay area that have the expertise and equipment to do what they do.
The alignment settings are custom tailored to your cars suspension, tires, etc. and will be determined after consulting with you on YOUR driving style and the use of your car, performance, weekend track, etc. They test drive your vehicle before and after your alignment job. Why test drive after alignment? Because even settings alone are not enough to get a car fine tuned. This additional tweeking and test driving is what makes these guys Suspension Tuners.
A turbo or supercharger set up needs tuning, utilizing a dyno by an expert tuner.
A high end audio system with a 32 band equalizer needs tuning utilizing a spectrum analyzer by an audio engineer.
If you have spent $$ on a coilover suspension, chassis braces, high performance tires and rims, let Custom Alignment tune your set up for the best performance. You WILL feel the difference!
But even if you have simply lowered your car using drop springs, Custom Alignment can help minimize the inside tire wear that chews up tires. Most standard shops will only align to factory spec which will not eliminate this problem.
The old saying “You get what you pay for” applies here.
Trying to save money on a NON-Custom Alignment may bite you down the road with a quickly worn set of expensive tires.
Spend your money wisely.

Sounds great Glen. I probably cannot make it (90%) but maybe I can try to squeeze out a little time. I'd hate to miss the meet. We'll see.
Custom Alignment is great. When I had my 18s, I got an alignment there. They cost a little more but their attention to detail is great. Maybe I was lucky, but I kept checking my tire and after a year, there was almost no uneven wear.

Glenn:
Got your message...I will try to make it to this meet since I didn't make it to last year BOS meet in Sac. Will have to see if I can get out of work.
For those of you who haven't used Custom alignment, they are fantastc. I had them do an alignment along with a four corner balancing (which included adjustment of my coilovers). These guys are extremely knowledgeable and very striaghtforward. They will answer any and all questions that you will have, and their work is outstanding. I was disappointed at first because I had to leave my car longer than expected, but after seeing how thorough they were at doing their work, I was not angry any more. They did not release my car back to me until they were satisfied with the way the car handled. Talk about service....after speaking with the tech, he informed me that he had to make adjustments several times and after each time, road tested the car until he felt the settings were correct and to his satisfaction.
This goes back to Glenn mentioning that they don't do just alignments. They tune the suspension to your driving style. Let them know what you want, and they will make it so. They are definitely not the cheapest, but look at it as an investment in your car. After all, most of us have invested the money in expensive rims, tires, coilovers, etc. Why not spend the extra bit to have everything set up correctly?
One word for these guys..........AWESOME!!!!!!

Custom Alignment
good honest shop. No one beats their attention to detail. The first time I got my car aligned there, I stayed and waited for the car. I saw the tech align the car, drive it...align again drive it and he repeated this about 3-4 times before he was happy with it. The car felt great and the wear I got on my tire was pretty damn good. I'm bummed to hear they've raised their prices yet again but its still worth the money imo. If I'm not mistaken, they are still cheaper than an alignment at the dealership and not all dealerships can align 20" rims.

this is going to be fun, can't wait for the seminar
the meet with be a very simple and casual one. our main idea is to have a place for gathering and meeting with people, together with learning about custom alignment and just how good of a shop they are.
in terms of scale i don't expect it to be anything like the EOS meet, so most of us can actually enjoy the show
time for sticky
