Strange Hissing sound
Well, somehow around last summer I bought a '05 Acura MDX and since then I have been driving my '04 IS300 less and less and less and less.... eventually I was driving it for about 10 minutes every 2 weeks. In the last couple of months I hadn't even driven it at all, and I only "moved" the car out of the garage last weekend when I had to make some room to clean out stuff in the garage. The IS300 started after some stumbling, and the initial exhaust smoke appeared white which cleared up after 10 minutes and was back to a normal clear color, however I did notice a strange hissing sound coming from under the hood. I opened the hood later to find the hissing sound coming from the belt area.
Anyone think this is a real problem or will it (the strange hissing sound) go away if I take it out for a drive? Also how often should you run the engine if your car is "in storage"?
I probably should either drive it more, or think about getting rid of it. The MDX is too much fun driving it down the street on full throttle and scaring old ladies out of the way that the IS300 doesn't appeal to me anymore.

Sometimes it could be moisture that's built up or maybe just dust that settled. It's only been sitting for a bit. I don't think it's anything to worry about. Drive it around the block slowly if you want.
