when you buy the car from the dealership, it comes w/ the pie plated alloy rims. I opted for the chrome 18" chrome TRD rims at time of buy from dealership for around $800-$1200/set. These are made specially for the sc430 but I believe they also fit on GS and IS also.
No one likes the stock pie plates when they buy the sc430 from the dealership.

oh yes. 19's or 20's later on. for now, i'm happy with these and run w/ them for a while.
but when I do upgrade the rims, it'll be hot, i gurantee it. i'm a slow modder and a newbie at this so i'll just take my time. this car is a "4 life" ride, so when I'm ready, then I'll make the change.

Here are my before and after pics...

Before: The day after we bought it my wife took these pics...

After:

Specs:
RMM Grill
Tien S-Tech Springs
Debadged
Eyelids
Gunmetal Headlights and Taillights
Injen Intake
Fog Light Mod
Amuse Front Lip
Drilled Rotors
Gold Calipers
Hyper Black ADR M-Sport Rims on Sumitomo tires

Would you guys believe me if I said my front lip is not painted, it is the stock polyurethane I didn't want to paint it because it would defeat the purpose of it being flexible, and if my wife curbs it the paint would just chip off, I just used Maguires Tire Shine lol. Next things I wanna get are Side Skirts and Evo Greddy II Exhaust and I am done.

Umm. Yes, I'd believe you.

If you like the look, then that's fine. If you don't and are just worried about it getting damaged, that is the risk you take with the rest of the car, the wheels, ... when you leave your house. If you prefer it painted, I say get it painted.
