East Bay Dinner Meet feeler post

This may be out of the way for me from SJ to Concord this time around, but i did go to last year's East Bay Dinner at Jack Londay Square. It was a quaint and nice gathering. Most of the East Bay folks should be able to make this one since it's in your neck of the woods.
Depending the location this time, if I feel it's worth my effort, I'll try to make the extra drive to hang out.

You should come. I'll put you down as maybe. Glen said he would try to make it, so.....besides,
Craig is coming all the way from SAC, so you should not have an excuse!!

Looks like there is enough interest to push this forward. I will let it run for a couple more days to see who else chimes in, but as of right now, I'm thinking August 26th, Saturday, is the day. That way no one will have to contend with rush hour traffic and those coming from a distance will have plenty of time. Place still to be determined...
Check back on this post for updates....thanks!!!

Mike, Concord / Walnut Creek area is fine with me.
I am good for the 26th. If that is not good for anyone else let us know now.
Is there any good eating in Danville? I passed through there once and it looked like there would be some nice places.
Once we have the date locked in, how bout posting a poll of places to eat.
Let's hear some suggestions from the locals to show us out-of-towners what they have in the east bay.
I think the usual selections are, non-standard chains that anyone cannot find locally. A variety selection of food, cooked in whatever cuisine they offer. It was a diaster the last time we tried to eat at Elephant Bar and BJ's. Let's not do that again please?
Not too high end, just reasonable pricing.
Some standard preferences are:
1. Good parking and safe
2. Easy to get in not too crowded, but must take reservations instead of first come first served
3. Room to seat all of us in one table area.
4. A reasonably quiet area or semi-private banquet room.
Dinner is great so long as we can hear each other talk. It is definitely nice to just sit down, having a nice casual meal and talk any topic under the sun. Sometimes it even beats standing outside in the baking sun, looking at cars and screaming through loud DJ music.
I remember when we went to Jack London Square, that was great.

Thanks for chiming in Glen. Chris and I have been trying to come up with some places. But the more help we can get, the better as we may not think of everywhere.
Those that live in and around the area if you have any suggestions, please PM or post here. Make sure there is going to be adequate parking and the place needs to be able to accomodate a fairly large party that is going to hang around for awhile......
