Hey Lisa, long time no see like EOS 7 ?

How was the pricing compared to Wheel Techniques?

svntwosix said Wheel tech quoted him $10 more per wheel. Perhaps you could drop by there and get a quote for comparison?

Hey lisalisa, sorry to hear that. I think they rarely pick up their telephone as Sharon gave me a price quote before I got there. I made an appointment and swung by in the morning and she wasn't there.

Hopefully things will work out for you

If anything, Glen could provide the customer service part for Wheel Technique

Yep , she's aware of the Customer Service since she's done business there in the past. Trying to weigh cost vs service is a double edged sword, which is why I'm curious to hear her opinion.

boswell,

try http://www.memoryfab.com also, they dont do the work in house, possibly even maybe outsourcing it to one of the two you mentioned. whoever did the work did a great job and i'm satisfied because there were some deep curb damage. eventhough its not in house, they know wheels, rare japanese ones at that. they charged me $80 per wheel

Default Rite Way

I've used Rite Way a few times. They are great at what they do. I borrowed my friends Works and I curbed them! Sucked, but they brought it back to new!

thanks for the insight guys, Rite-Way seems like the place to go. Despite being a little far it seems to me like they do the best work so a little drive to get your rims repaired perfectly is a small price to pay.

Still a little curious about Wheel Tech. seems like RMMGS4 knows them, their more local so I'm just wondering how their work is? RMMGS4 care to comment?

Been doing business and have had a lot of wheels done by Wheel Tech over the years. Take a look at just two of MANY threads about wheel tech. Others have posted similar experiences.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...k-to-life.html

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/the...heir-rims.html

If you go through these two threads you will see that Wheel Tech has the best capability to repair almost any wheel.

Rite Way has come on the scene in recent years and they appear to do good work but I have no experience with them.

Stop by Wheel Tech and check out their display and ask to talk to Jeff or John and tell them I referred you and have them look at what can be done.

Wheels are so different and the work required varies big time so it makes NO SENSE to give you a price estimate. That would be just a guess, so just go there and ask for a free quote.

The down side of wheel tech can be their customer service. That's why I go to the owners Jeff and John to make sure I get taken care of. They have gone through several sales people at the front desk and in my opinion , most of them should of been fired after the first week. I NEVER trust their estimated completion dates, so I always ride on them and I won't drop off a rim if I am on a tight timeline. Sometimes you gotta deal with it, but I leave that up to everyone to make their own decision.

Thanks for the write up and thread referral Glenn, a lot of good info as I read through everything. Your "bullet hole rim" story was crazy btw, Wheel Tech did some amazing work.

A few months back I did stop by for a quote after getting some stains on a rim and they quoted me about $155 per wheel (don't know if that's expensive?) Never did go back to get it repaired just living with the stain for now, but its good to know if I want it repaired I can turn to Wheel Tech.

Does anyone know where you can fix a cracked wheel? My friend cracked his OEM wheels and doesn't want to bother buying a new one.

Wheel tech in SAC is owned by Wheel Tech in Santa Clara. Whatever feedback there is for Wheel Tech should basically apply to both locations.

Wheel repair shops are very few in NorCal, but Wheel Tech has been around for over 20 years.. The most reputable businesses have already been listed.
