can anyone recommend a good shop to do a 1jz swap into my 98 sc3? the shops here in fresno are too pricey (5k and up), i'm thinking elsewhere in CA might be cheaper. traveling would be worth it espicially when i'd supply the engine of course, i just need someone to install!

Was that 5K for labor only?? Thats definately high IMO. I was quoted $2500 (wich is pretty typical pricewise for that swap I believe) back in June or July by Blacktrax in Milpitas.
They have a good reputation, and exp with the 1jz and 2jz swaps.
