Team Lexus no longer exists. Performance Engineering formerly Team Lexus and Lexus USA have parted ways.

RMMGS4 and I were planning to make this several months back, but after the news broke that Team Lexus and the IS350 GT project are no longer, we retracted our plans.

I was really looking forward to this race. With Team Lexus out of the picture, I have no incentive to really go. The Rolex series and next years Monterey Historics are on my calendar for next year though.

I should probably post a motorsports schedule when next years season rolls around. Often for events like these we would want to purchase advanced tickets, etc. so we could reserve seating together, etc.

Besides these ALMS races, what else would people be interested in?

NASCAR, CART, IRL, SPEED GT, Rolex Series, NHRA. I have gone to all of these events and each has it's own special interest with me.

I really would like to go to a Formula One race in Indiana, but you pretty much need to book a year in advance. Next year might be the last one held there. We'll see.

You really have to make it to the Monterey Historics. I have gone for the past 10+ years and is a blast each time. The whole weekend is crazy.

Actually Jeff I failed to mention that I did go to the Historics. Flipside909 , myself and a few others were VIP guests for Toyota/ Lexus. Had the VIP lounge and autographs by Rod Millen, Ivavn Iron Man Stewart and Juan Manuel Fangio.

We were treated by seeing hot lap demos of Toyota's current Gen Formula One car.

As a reference, the Moto GP race was a month earlier. We know how fast GP Motorcycles are on the Monterey road course and we know that a difference of one second per lap is a pretty long distance.

So to put it simply, the Toyota F1 car not only broke the Ultimate lap record it lapped faster than the record holding Moto GP bike by 16 Seconds !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's pretty much an eternity no matter how you look at it.

Hmmmmm I better post an article about the race since I have full video of the F1 car doing hot laps.

BTW, we WILL be organizing a meet to attend this race next year with NorCal and So Cal members. This will be a fully supported event that we have organized with Lexus & Toyota.

Can't wait for next year!

I may go this weekend as I may have a hook up from the racing program manager at my company. My company's sponsored car Bell Micro (I do the updates for our racing website) will be there. Our Ceo, Don Bell, will actually be racing on Sunday (lucky!). I may go if I have nothin better to do, we'll see. Maybe I'll see some fellow CL members out there.

So since you have Bell Micro sponsored cars in CART, I suppose you can snag us a couple of VIP grandstand tix for next years San Jose Grand Prix??

Edgy is also a big fan and drives up from LA each year to attend the race. Make sure to get him the big hookup as well.

I'd have to talk to the racing program manger she's real nice. She isn't my boss but in order to get anything posted on our racing site she has to go through me. Anyway if I get any hookups and I can help the community I will. I can't ask for much now since this is only my third month here. Anyway hopefully I can make it on Sunday. See ya around Glen.
