Anyone know a good place to get stock 2jz motor around the bay.

Speed line group in San Mateo. I know they have lot of engines including 2JZ, but I've never bought from there so can't give you feedback.

There is Engine World or something like that in Berkeley / Emeryville. They import a lot and I mean A LOT of JDM engines. Try them, pretty good prices and they warranty their engines and transmissions.

lol do you guys just have random engines lying around the house? or somehow need a different engine? maybe im just not the DIY type of guy, lmao

one of my customers blew his head gasket so he decided to just go ahead and replace the whole motor instead. I kept the old motor because my bro has a sc300 and his have a lot of problems and it finally threw a rod, so we just fixed the head gasket on the one I had laying around and swapped it in.

daym maybe i can come across with one for cheap hehe. my buddy just got one with 96k miles for 150 with manual tranny
