Yes, we will already be in groups with 40 cars. How many groups is still to be determined? Least would be groups of 20, but thats still quite a bit of cars to manage on a cruise.

looking at the route, it doesn't look easy to manage a lot of cars (just my feeling). probably group of 10 is a bit "easier". a traffic light can easily separate group of 20 already. and especially with the toll booth at golden gate, even harder to keep together.

i was thinking maybe put them in even small groups together (say 5) before approaching the golden gate. the first guy just pay 25 bucks and say 5 cars in a roll together. that would save tons of time. that's why couple of us did when we were rolling to HIN coz' we wanted to stick together

just giving some ideas.

Actually we won't have to pay toll (toll is coming in to SF), but still got cars coming from 19th Ave to deal with. We will be getting on the freeway right at the toll booth, and I know we'll lose some but should be fine. As far as traffic lights they are all timed so if we hit it just right we'll roll all the way through the city with only a few stops.
