go to autozone and borrow a spring compressor (no charge-deposit only) and do it yourself. It's not that hard to do.

Default 15k Service on an IS250

Hello everyone. Just wondering where everybody is getting their Lexus serviced, and how much they paid, in the Bay Area. Tried Lexus of Serramonte and got a quote for $400+ for the 15k service, which I thought was very high. I read several posts about the 15k service and some paid $200, albeit in different state(s).

Thanks.

try Exact motorsports in Milpitas. I believe they are a sponsor here. They'll do it for 180.00. It's a good shop, I've had work done there.

Monzoon and CaptCrunch, your posts moved to this "Service" thread.

Exact is our NorCal APPROVED Sponsor. Look for their Banner Ad, give em a call for a price quote, instead of asking online.

Prices can vary for many reasons so you can't always go by other peoples quotes.

If you go to Exact or somewhere else, please share your experience.

My starter was just about gone at 112k miles on my 98 gs400. I stopped in for some great service (oil chg + starter) at Exact yesterday. I only wish I lived closer. They even finished early.

Now, who was the genius that put the starter in such a tough to get to location on the GS400. I guess it could be worse, I could drive a MR engine car.

Ya go talk to Gabe Jr, at Angel's Autobody behind the Milpitas Police Dept.

Tell him Rishie sent ya, that should help. I've had them do a lot of client's cars including my Authentic Fabulous xA. I was very pleased with the price.

If you're an **** customer, just make sure you emphasize proper prep/blocking/and fitment. They always do this but doesn't hurt to remind him.

Besides Precision Mobile, who else in the East Bay can do paint films? The 'rents are probably picking up a new Prius and I've seen all too well how "soft" new OEM waterbased basecoat+low VOC/powder clearcoat is.

if anyone needs there lex serviced call leo at 408-737-1055 and tell them james sent you. ive had my ls there before and he actually came to pick up my car as long as you dont live to far away from the shop he can do it. and took care of the car in a time he promised and i received my car back the same way i left it and it was cleaner! i couldnt beleive the amount of service he gave to me and everyone else im sure he has taken care of as well. he is a full service automotive repair and does other things as well. plus he doesnt charge a arm,leg,spine,finger,etc... so call him next time you need your lex serviced youd be amazed what a small repair shop can offer as well.
