Default Good places on the peninsula to test car's limits?

is there any place in or within 20mi of San bruno where one can test his car in a safe envirnoment (ie not on a public road, or a very quiet, wide road)? i'm talkin good big empty parking lots and such. testing grip and suspension limits, not top speed or anything.

i went to skyline w/ my dad when he taught me how to drive, but I'm worried about campus security. i've also been to CSM but they ran a police academy there! and they have tight security as well, god knows why. i might just to skyline and beware of cops. bunta, i dont know which target you're talking about, serramonte, tanforan, or somewhere else?

Calaveras in Milpitas. Watch out for blind turns. I would have a buddy of yours on another end with a walkie, to tell you when cars are coming. Very, very dangerous if you are inexperienced. I almost slid off the cliff many times in my life pushing my car to the limits.

Pagemill road is another good "canyon" style road.
