So I'm posting from my phone.... In southern california and guess what? Other than that small crack on my window I just got a 5 inch crack from the bottom towards the middle omfg... Now I really gotta replace the windshield. Anyone got good places?

claim your insurance for windshield ($100 deductible?) ....take it back to the dealer.....

check to see if it's done by rock chip or it's from stress. see if there is a rock chip mark along the crack. if none, go back for warranty.

I've got a huge crack running down my windshield... almost the entire length. It originated up where the rear view mirror is glued on and I never noticed any rock chip, but didn't know the windshield could crack from stress, so I just assumed it was from the road.

Will the dealership really cover this under warranty? I always thought that with a cracked windshield, it was assumed it was from a rock.

Dealership won't cover cracked windshield. Your best bet is pay cash, or use your insurance.

aww.. thats what i figured...

and not to divert the thread any further, but yeah ray... i've been mia. unfortunately i've had zero time for much forum perusing and CL meets... and the car hasnt even been driven in weeks!

you never know, if you don't have any rock chip, the crack has to come from somewhere

i had a rock chip... but it is nowhere near the crack nd i got that from like.. hella days ago.
my window is now cracked 12 + Inches... looks like i gotta put some mods behind and get window first.. bleh.
