Default Tinting Lexus ES350 for California driving

I am purchasing a 2008 Lexus ES in a few weeks.
I live in the San Francisco bay area and would like to tint my windows
to reduce standing heat from the vehicle when sitting in the sun.
I often drive to areas of CA where it can reach into the 100s in the summer and sometimes take trips to Vegas and Arizona during the brutal summers.
From what I have read, California mandates 30% tint maximum for the front passenger windows. I have heard opinions that 30% doesnt really make enough of a difference to spend the money on tint. I would like some feedback on that. And while CA law allows darker tint in the rear passenger windows and rear window, on some cars it looks strange to mix tint shades. I would some opinions on that as well. Also, my Lexus will have a rear sunshade. I would like to know if anyone still went with tint on their rear glass and why, if they have a power rear sunshade.
Thanks

front windows can not be tinted regardless. illegal to have ront tinted windows.
i would suggest you go with ceramic tint. ceramic tint is VERY light but will block heat like limo tint.

we jsut got it on our compnay LS 50% ceramic all around. it will reject heat close to limo tint.

yes, if you want to reduce heat, get ceramic. color almost has nothing to do with heat if you get normal dyed film. ceramic more expensive but blocks out tons of heat. if you are really afraid, get 60% ceramic. but i think at 50% you should still be fine

my ls460l has 40% (with black interior). never a problem (i am in socal)

You said you got 35 all around AND that the front windows can't be tinted.
That seems contradicting.

can't be tinted (illegal) doesn't mean you can't do it. you are just against the law

most shop dont tint the windshield because its illegal and its a $5k fine for the tint shop. tapering w/ the windshield is like tapering w/ the airbag, its a federal offence.

ceramic films generally blockout 5%-10% more radiant heat than comparable films because of its thicker construction.

in Cali. 70% light transmission tint laws is a joke. it barely does anything for the car. i dont recommend it. for your needs i recommend 30% or 35% all around for 7 windows. im not a fan of the half done look. especially not for a luxury vehicle

i have nt touch the sunshade button in over 6 yrs. since tinted. sunshade or not ppl tend to tint their car reguardless because it just look GOOD. plus the tint help stop teh fading/drying of the interior and leather

I did 70% V-Kool on the sides and it seems to be working well so far. On hot days, throwing up my front sunshade keeps the black inside cool enough for a girl in a skirt to sit on.

I've got 50% all around. It does a decent job on keeping my black leather from being "scorching" hot.

I had 5% all around and got pulled over in Frisco. Had to go to CHP to get it corrected (took out 2 front window tint). My rears are still 5% though, black limo. It is godamn hot though. It absorbs heat. My s#it sucks and I need to get ceramic.

How the hell do you take off tint without f-ing up the heater lines? Steaming works?
