hello everyone!!!
it's time for me to take my IS to get the 10000 miles service done and
I was wondering which dealer do you go to..

the nearest ones from my home, Alameda, are..

Coliseum Lexus of Oakland

and if I drive little bit more

there is a Lexus of Serramonte..

I thought I saw one near by Emeryville but it doesnt show up on the
Lexus website..

anyways,,please let me know if you have any experiences with these
dealers...thanks alot..


BTW..is it even worthy to take my IS for 10000 miles service??
what do they do? oil change..changing the filter..checking my tire/brake..
i heard it costs about 140 bucks...

and please let me know if someone already posted a thread in regard to this
matter..i did a search but couldn't find anything..

your closest one will be the one at Oakland.....

there's also one in Concord......

I usually go to Serramonte......$60 something for oil change....

**** Serramonte Lexus! The service manager (Ray Chinn) is a total ****..I will never buy another lexus from them or will I ever have do any of my service again. Go to Coliseum Lexus.

seriously, ive never delt with ray chin, but if you find a good service manger, they are the best. however, i think they are going to undergo construction this month and they are relocating for two years up the hill towards the cemetaries.

but after these two years, it will be a state of the art facility

I ended up taking my IS to Oakland yesterday..
I ended up paying them little less than $200 for my 10000 miles service..
my friend got his 10000miles done in Los Angeles for $140..so I guess the price is all different??
anyways,,their service was o..k...
I was surprised to find out that they don't give out the loan car unless your car has to stay there for 3 hours or longer..=/
so I ended up waiting in the lounge for 2 hours..LOL
and they ended up leaving some minor scratches/swirls on my IS when
they washed it..so gotta get them detailed soon!!!

i always take it to the oakland lexus since its like 5 min from my work, but i usually have my girl bring it down since they are nicer to her... and I just found out one of the techs married my good friends sister...small world.

The dealer Ive had the best experience with was Lexus of Roseville. But that's a bit too far.
