Guys, you too can help Josh and his family out by making a donation. They will need all the help they can get over the next many months.

I heard about this accident from another member from here, and we were at a different car meet through VSC.

While I don't know either party involved, what I can say, is please don't go demanding compensation through this forum. While yes, your friend has been hurt pretty badly, and yes it looks hard down the road, you have to think of the other party involved too. If this person was not driving recklessly, and his car did malfunction (which CAN happen, even on a Lexus) You have to think of what this person is going through also, from totaling his car, the hardship he will go through himself due to the repercussions of this accident, and the fact that he has hurt somebody badly, even though it was an accident. Pain and suffering go both ways, to both parties involved. May it get better soon, for both people.

Thanks to those who have made contributions to the fund to help Josh out, I am sure that he and his family will be extremely grateful for all of your help. I too do not personally know him, but am sure that he does need all of our help at this time.

Just donated too. His fund is over $1500 now.

I just wanted to say that I was on the drive Sunday and have participated in many CL events over the past few years. The folks in the Norcal group are very good people and do not in any way condone reckless driving. There were very clear instructions and warnings before we left for the drive. It's not possible to police everything on one of these events and something can go wrong in a fraction of a second.

Just donated, they're already up to around $2,200 from 58 contributers which is awesome! Hopefully everyone's contributions will take some of the stress off of Josh and his family over the next few months!

People act like we had 82,000 people sitting in a corner in California watching events unfold. Like it was said before, one that I don't think was even a member here. I think he just knew someone that knew someone. (i am guessing)

It sucks that that guy got hurt in an accident. Best wishes to his family. If I decide to try and help that fella that got hurt it will be because I want to help a needy family out. Hell I live 1500 miles away from California, What do I have to do with it? Nada. There's a lot of people in the club all over the world. No one is going to take responsibility for one single person, that's ludicrous.

I would say anyone that want's to help him, do so. Don't just go do it because of a guilt trip being laid out on you. We all chat here, we don't sleep in the same bed. If the guy has a structured and organized (and verifiable) fund set up I'll throw some coin in.
Nuff said, Took the words right out of my mouth O.L.T
