I got hit going 86 last month. I paid and went to traffic school. All cars AROUND me were going that speed.
My car stands out, HID's were on during the day so i was the chosen one.

Ticketed.
A few months ago I remember hearing on the news that California Highway Patrol enacted a "NO Tollerance" clause to speeding!!! You would be ticketed for going 1 mph over the speed limit!! Just stay in the middle lane!!! F.Y.I. For those of you whom live in the South S.J. area watch out for the speed traps on Hillsdale between Almaden Exp. and Cherry Ave!! Also at Almaden Exp. and McAbee!!!

bro that sucks....
cops are always jocking me.... i already got 3 speeding tickets
first one... a few weeks after getting my car...95 in a 65, told me watch out next time with new cars(he knew the feeling buy still tickted me?
second... going home...46 in a 45(in the rain) cop pulled me over on my drive way, told me i could of spinned out and killed someone?
third... on the way home on the freeway in a lexus rx loaner car... 70 in a 65... told him wasn't my car and it was a loaner(figered he'd at least give me a break), told me doesn;t matter just follow the speed...
i've gotten pulled over before for speeding once inbetween those times and the cop told me sweet ride, just don't have to much fun and let me go.... i was going 90 in a 55, told me that on the sright i was going 70, then when i hity the hill? or when it started to go upwards kinda i hit 90....55 seem slow for a freeway, in san jose or south bay i've sen streets markded at 55...
anyways thats to bad bro, just pay it and take traffic school, tint... just take it off and retint it....

Holy moly, Sherman! That's one serious chunk of useful information there! I've been fighting tickets for quite a while now, and have never thought a speed trap defense would work on a 22349. I'll have to try that the next time I'm in court. I'd love to swap notes with you - it seems like you've got a ton of info.
For the original poster, however, I'd recommend a TBD. Fill it out, but don't write much of anything in the place where you plead your case. I simply write "I stand by my plea of Not Guilty." and say nothing more. Chances are the officer won't fill out his paperwork and you'll be off scott free.
If he does, you'll pretty much be found guilty anyway. Just ask for a de novo and talk to sherman!
