Default Something in the door scratches tint?

So I searched but couldn't find an answer.

I called auto mall tint today to ask about getting my ES330 tinted. The guy said something about some kind of felt in the door that needs to be replaced otherwise it would scratch the tint. $350 for everything is what he quoted me for Suntek HP.

Can someone clarify what this felt thing is he's talking about?

THANKS!!

Felt Window Guide Tape

this is what they are talking about but in black color though. this tape willl prevent scratching of film from hard window guides. lots of manufacturers are using hard plastic guides against windows. if you drive w/ the windows open alot, dirt/dust particals tend to get trapped in the guides. this can scratch even the highest quality films. applying the felt to the guides will help prevent scratching. but this require teh removal of the door panels. if you dont want someone to mess w/ the OEM fit and finish of your doors just clean the window guides more often. i just tell my customers to just roll down the windows and clean the hard window guides w/ a wet paper towel everytime you wash your car. save alot of time and $$$ i hope this helps
