2008 Lexus Showcase: A Taste of Lexus Event
#61
I went to the event on Friday around 2 pm. I didn't really have a problem with the food even though it was hard getting at some of the specialty foods because last year's food idea was worst.
I give props to Lexus for throwing these events but I kind of don't understand the 2 car limit. I know it is probably to reduce the wait lines but it also in a way does not help promote their goal of potential buyers and no pressure shopping. For example, I brought a potential buyer with me to the event and he was either interested in the GS or the LS. So, if he wanted to try out the GS, all he could compare is two engines out of three available and no more. While I saw the staff joy riding the cars over and over again, we were limited.
Also, they should have mentioned that they had a F-sport equipped IS350 during the sign up because by the time I found out there was one, I already wasted my 2 car limit.
All in all, kudos to lexus

Do you know if Lexus will be giving a certificate for attending the Lexus Showcase event? I'll be going in the Chicago suburbs in early October. If I know they're giving a certificate I'll wait a few extra weeks before ordering my 2009 IS 350.
