I am sorry to hear that. Hope you can get your car fix before EOS..

Sounds like all the CF hood folks (without a pin) suffer the same thing...

so the verdict is, with a CF hood, hoods pins are NEEDED then. By the way, was the TRD hood one of those double layered ones with fiberglass on the bottom and CF resin on top? Or is it full CF?

The hood was double layered with fiberglass and CF on top. After to talkin to a few people including Mr. CF himself Edgy, it sounds like the pins probably wouldn't have helped but now its all speculation. It's always safer to go with hood pins.

hey manny. I saw your car at the shop the other day. They couldn't fit the lip on either. They said i could bond it with my bumper, but they quoted me 1400.00+. Anyways did you get your car back?

Yea I did get my car back and it's going back to the shop tomorrow for a last polish before it goes to get the clear bra. I'm very satisfied with the work from the shop, I'll be working on detailed review later.

Wow 1400 does sound a bit pricey but they told me they were saying the wanted to mold the lip onto your bumper in order for it to sit properly. Sounds like quite a bit of work. Which lip were you going to put on your car again?

Glad you're okay.

Can't stand the way CF hoods look, can't stand the way they function.
