I recently purchased a 2006 GS 300 and I thought I have a fully loaded GS. One thing I noticed is that I do not have the Mark Levinson Surround (MLS) audio software optimizes discrete 5.1 playback for multiseat listening. I have surround sound but it does not provide a greater sense of envelopment and depth for front and rear passengers.

Is this something I can get once I upgrade the audio software?

IMHO dont think the "software" will "upgrade" that to ML.....(correct me if I am wrong.....)

a True ML system has their own headunit, speakers and amplifiers.....

 

Correct, in order to get ML sound, you need the ML speakers, headunit, amp, wiring, etc. There is no to really "upgrade" it...

 

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I do have ML, the surround sound icon is different than what I've seem on the marketing material. Mine is showing a plain plus (+) sign to control R/L/Front/Rear instead of 4 car seats indicating R/L/Front/Rear showing in the sound menu.

hahaha sorry but what you want is what I want but we're not gonna get it. I got the ml system and the thing sucks. If you really want sound you're gonna have to go aftermarket with different amp, crossovers, and even speakers.
