Most likely you'll get pull over in Cali. They probably going to ask questions & let you go if you in Cali temp.

No front license plate gives CHP, police an excuse to pull you over. Berkeley PD gave my wife a no front license ticket and the car was parked in a lot.

I dont see the big deal about having a front plate. I'd rather not have mine on. They arent that bad. And besides, they keep you out of a trouble.

I haven't gotten pulled over yet. One time when I was cruising with Pirooz, a cop got behind me, and then passed me and pulled over Pirooz. He told him he was going to get me for exhaust, but saw I was out of state. They probably wont bug you too much.

Just before X-mas I was coming out of a parking lot on Saratoga near 280. Then a CHP pulls up next to me at the light, and I can feel he is just looking for something to pull me over for. As soon as the light turns green he waits for me to go and gets behind me with his lights on. I pull over (in my S2000) and he tells me he thinks my exhaust is too loud and ask me to rev it. I do and it is obvious that it is NOT too loud so he can't give me a ticket for that. Starts walking around my car until he finds something to write me a ticket for, no front plate.

Fix-it for $10 or pay the fine of $124.....

I wonder does Domestic vehicle get this kinda of treatment. I mean for Mustang, Camero, truck, etc...those guy run straight pipe.

Well, CA is short on money. I'm sure the pressure is on for CHP to produce more tickets than local cops. I told my gf to drive 70 instead of 80 on freeway now.

Its funny, when there's an accident or a problem occur, there is "jurisdiction" to which department handle it. But when writing ticket, its all open for every department to enforce.

Ultimately, I don't want to give the police any excuse to pull me over, so I think it's less hassle just to have it on and not have to worry about it. Also, I drive around LAX area sometimes, and the cops there are notorious for front license tickets.
Well, I had my front plate mounted yesterday. It was painful watching the holes being drilled. I do agree, one less thing to be hassled with. It's said and done.

Worse case is that they could make you appear in court and prove that you still live out of state.
