have a 99 GS 300 w/ 109k stock everything.. with 01 GS430 17 chrome wheels.I need yall help.. tell me what you think would be a cause of this clunk noise..

< I would put it in reverse and go back and then stop and put it in drive and go forward and then stop quickly and there would be this loud "clunk" noise..
Had just bought the car about 3 months now and it has new front and rear breaks, timing belt, water pump done by previous owner. >

if anyone has experienced any type of problems.. please let me know.. I've seen pictures of previous clunk noises.. It wasnt too pretty. Thanks

I think this most likely the shift of your brake pad, which happens to my 02' IS too.

 

could be anything suspension related. cant really tell you unless I hear it in person. bring it to a shop...
