The IS was also at the JDMTheory SoCal event where I was a judge. We picked this car as Best Lexus. Now it came up here with even more mods and a new Blue paint job. The car was GGP before.
Needless to say it won best Lexus at the WEKFEST show. A ton of mods and put together very well.
It's tough to beat a PURE Show Car with Street Driven vehicles, but we didn't fair too bad.

This event was pretty good. It was another successful big one. It was very well put together. I was pretty shocked to see how the line kind of snaked through the upper level. There was a 5 min wait to use the ATM, a 15 min wait to use the men's room, and about a 30 min wait to get in to the event.
Nonetheless, I had a great time. It is always good to see familiar faces. The guys at VSC were holding it down. Supra Forums always amazes me. Club Lexus cleaned up again this year. I just wish there were more room for cars in that garage. I think these events are going to keep getting bigger so they better figure something out.

Another great trip to NorCal! Thanks for the hospitality guys, as always. Even though the rest of the crew couldn't come up, I still had a blast. I'm sure George had a good time too - once I introduced him to Mellissa and Cindy I didn't see him much the rest of the day... There were a LOT of great cars in that garage - LOTS of eye candy. I had no idea this thing was so big, until I took a walk outside and saw a line of people that must have extended AT LEAST 400 yards!
Congrats to Glen, Joseph, and Will for placing - those cars are always a treat to see. I lost the coin toss over who had to show next to Joseph - his IS350 puts the rest of us to shame! Hopefully next year we'll have a larger contingent from SoCal make the trip up.

We talked a bit, but this environment is never the type to catch up with people. My throat was sore at the end of the day talking with spectators and people I knew.
Even walking upstairs through the shops I still ran into people.
Yes they need more space as they had another 200 cars wanting to get in.
Thing is, it has to be indoors for this time of year, so anyone with suggestions, I'll pass it on to the organizers.

Javy, lets have more rice next time.
The Wekfest day was on the last day of my vacation so I was in some kind of monday blue syndrome. Good to see friends dropping by our sector and also meeting up some Taiwanese IS250 club friends. Just like Glen said the competition was tough and I was very lucky to be awarded.

Congrats to Glen, Joesph, Javy and Will. The cars look great, as they always do. Anyway I'll have to catch up with you guys soon. Oh and Will you still owe me the Junction Produce fog lights. :P
