That's a lot of money to pay for vinyl vs. paint, but I'm thinking the owner could enjoy the flat car and upon sale, return it to white with the original paint in pristine condition.

Not everyone would want to buy a flat paint job so the re-sale value would be better, plus you never know if this is a lease, or the owner doesn't hold on to cars very long, etc.

That's my best guess why someone would do vinyl. Plus given the high cost of the car, it only added about 5% to the total cost of the car.

good point, also perhaps it was a sponsorship by a company that performs the wraps?
