Well today after leaving my car in the garage for about a week..The starter/ignition isn't working.. I am pretty sure it is not the battery because the headlights and radio and everything else turns on. Not sure if thats the actual problem. Can anyone help me out? When I turn the key it screeches and doesn't turn on. How much is a new starter/ignition? Lexus IS300.

Before you even consider a starter I highly recommend you have the battery checked out for a bad core. If its good then just recharge it. My battery is currently giving me crap because I leave my car parked in the garage days at a time before the next start up. Do you happen to have an Optima red top?
