LGWNorcal Share Your Lunch Food Drive 2009
LGWNorcal has teamed up with 2nd Harvest in their 2009 Share Your Lunch Food Drive .
The Share Your Lunch Campaign has two objectives:
Feed children during the summer months when they do not receive free or reduced-price meals.
Raise awareness of the pervasiveness of local childhood hunger.
This year instead of collecting can food we are going to donate virtually and via checks/cash. By monetary donations, 2nd Harvest can purchase twice the amount of food compared to the average consumer with the same amount of money.
Our goal is to raise $400, but we know we can surpass this as we did last year. Last year's holiday food drive was a great success. Thanks to everyone in the Bay area who gave to the cause, and the South Bay came strong with large donations!
