is this an event that was promoted to other car clubs..? i thought it's LEXUS only.. i just clicked on the registered attendees list but thers liek only 37.

^ iirc, it's been a lexus-only meet the last two years i've been to EOS. i don't know what has changed this year to prompt anyone to believe that it won't be a lexus-only meet...

 

EOS is usually lexus only. but it is a public museum, so there will be other guests's cars. Good place to go and meet other people

OK it seems that with the small attendee list the actual number of cars will be even smaller since BOS has like 150+ cars registered but I swear it was not that many. The Scion guys outnumbered Lexus 2-1 easy, what's up with that?

Personally I think there's way too many "meets" to drum up enough excitement but we'll see I guess.

 

I think that promotion has been too little. I posted a thread in the 2GS forum about getting some more GS's in there (since there seems to be mostly IS's) and a lot of people didnt even know what I was talking about. I've noticed, including myself, that folx stick to just their own type forums and dont really browse around. Its kinda late, but we should all post something in our forums and bump it for the next few weeks and get the word out there. I didnt know of this until Lightwave hit me up...

 

there was like 20 lexus at BOS and half of them were Norcal 2IS...

 

bos has always been mostly a toyota event and small from lexus side and was not every year that CL has it. we are at EOS 8 when BOS is only on 5.
it is usually on toyota side, but we tried a mix and match for BOS5.

as always like in the past, we've stopped official minimeets 30-45 days prior to eos / bos, but we cant stop other members from posting other meets.

For example... in a 3 months span... some of the members attend approx 4-6 shows, and it does get tiring. and since all the groups dont communicate with each other really, there are almost meets/shows every 2-3 weeks. IE, we were busy this past weekend for the union city show... and then there is EOS, then Longo, then Thunderhill... not to mention all the other small stuff in between like the bbq meets, etc.

 

The list may be small now, but some members wait til the last week to sign up, like me!
