Need Help with Muteki Lugnuts & Key
Hello Bros and Sis around us,
I got a bud with a R33 needs help to remove his lugnuts. There are 8-keyed markings on what he has now. I believe the lugnuts are made by Muteki but no one is sure about this.
This dude is actually a very close friend of our club and I am sure many of us see his car here and there.
Please give me a call @ 408.258.1639 if anyone can get a hold of this 8-keyed socket.
Joseph

^---- Yup yup... but we have tried a few keys from different manufacturers but still can't find the right one.
The R33's lugs has 8 splines on each. I believe Muteki has only 6 (or 7?) splines. SO MUTEKI DOES NOT WORK! (unless its a 8-splines socket)
These are the sockets that failed to fit so far:
-All typical ones from local tire shops.
-McGard (Thanks to Jeff/ISF and Johnson/IS350)
-Muteki (Not 100% sure if it was a true Muteki. Thanks to Anthony/SC430)
Can someone please let me know if the Muteki has 6 or 7 splines?? Is there a 8-splines from Muteki?
------------------------------
Thanks to all guys helped out the R33 in our Milpitas meet last night (10/17), and please let me know if anyone knows anything about this 8-splines lugnut.

These are made by McGard.
I remember the R33 has something very similar, but I have tried the McGard's standard socket and it was too small. (Maybe McGard makes bigger socket/nuts for JDM.)
The worst case I might have to get some thin-wall Lug remover socket from Craftsman, but usually a Craftsman socket will break right the way.
Thx bro solo. UV wants to host a socket gathering meet soon.
