Free Photoshoots in NorCal
What's up Northern California?
Just to introduce myself - I am a professional photographer specializing in wedding photojournalism and portraiture. I was born and raised in Honolulu, HI, and I am 20 years old. I am currently a sophomore at Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California. My studio, ecphoto, is based out of Honolulu, and is operated by myself and one assistant. We are trying to grow our national network, and to also become proficient in other areas of photography.
Studio Website: ecphoto
As some of you already know, I'm trying to add some automotive work to my portfolio. I have some old stuff, but I'm looking to take new pictures with the new equipment I have accumulated over the past few years. My photographic vision has changed as well, and I would like the photos in my portfolio to reflect all of this.
I am not a professional at photographing automobiles, and this will be a learning process for me, so my introductory pricing for shoots will reflect this... FREE!
I am open to shoot anything in my phase of practice, but as I hone my skill, I will mostly be looking to photograph "complete" or "near-complete" vehicles.
At this point in time I have no transportation, so I guess your payment for my work will be picking me up and helping me scout locations for our shoots.
Also, if there are any photographers out there interested in working/learning with me through this process I would love to have you along!
If you are interested in any aspect of this project or have any questions/suggestions feel free to let me know here or send me a PM.
For car owners interested in photoshoots: It would be great if you could include a current photo of your car so that I can begin to brainstorm on how I will shoot.

LOL! OF COURSE! Your car is sick!
I will be out of town next weekend, but some time after that for sure.
I want to start off focusing on one car at a time, then once I'm comfortable with that we'll definitely get some multi-car shoots going.
I'll text you when I get back from Seattle on the Monday after Halloween so we can start to plan.

Wow nice shots! I don't know if my car is considered done yet. Still needs a bit of paint, but I go to SCU too and I've been trying to learn a bit more about photography. Let me know next time you wanna do a shoot and need a ride. I'll be happy to go along with you!

Thank you all for the compliments - I hope to do much better than these in my upcoming shoots!

ecphoto, nice photos and clean ride man! some of those backgrounds and roads look familiar! I miss oahu. My family had a condo near ala moana years ago. Can't beat that tropical weather and sunshine!
See ya at the next meets.

It's nice to know that there are more members in the CL community at SCU. I'm admittedly new to the club, but I've had great fun here so far! If you ever have any questions about photography (gear, technical q's or other) feel free to ask! Maybe we could meet up for lunch sometime and talk about our hobbies

I'm pretty sure we met - I tried my best to meet as many people as I could, seeing that I'm new around here!
I admit it will be hard for me to put names and faces to screennames, but I try!

I'm looking forward to shooting your car... that stance is KILLER. I'm in love with the VIP scene, and that'll be the way I go with my 2IS as soon as I get around to it.
