Thanh Long is much better than Crustacean's and considerably less in price. Garlic noodles and roasted crab, you won't be disappointed.

Need recommendation on desert in SF.

what is the BEST in SF and possibly something I can't get in LA.
House of Prime Rib. As far as dessert goes, Mitchell's Ice Cream or Bi-Rite Creamery if you're feeling a bit gourmet. Oldie but goodie and easy on your wallet.

Thanks for the recommendation...

My group now wants Marco Polo ice cream for desert, heard that their Durian Ice Cream rocks...

I might have to convince them to go to Mitchell's now...lol...

It's not too pricey but get ready to spend a little. Guaranteed you won't eat crab anywhere else again afterwards.
+100!

It's owned by the same people who run Crustacean, and it's AWESOME.

Do you fellas have any upscale restaurant recommendations? Doesn't matter where in the Bay Area, I'm willing to drive!

Thanks,
Tommy
Specifically for King Crab, try Boiling Crab in San Jose. Every time I've gone there the wait was a minimum of 1 hour, but it amazing to see how many people are willing to wait that long to eat there.

Korean Spring BBq in santa clara.
1062 kiely blvd. santa clara,ca 95051
408-985-8808

they have the only real use of charcoal bricks, to cook your meat on. Seriously smokey taste and much more hearty taste than the others that use gas. Dont be fooled some places use charcoal they say but if you look closely they are fake bricks of charcoal, and they use gas as the heat, lolz.
