Headlight Help
I've recently been trying out different headlight/city light/fog light bulbs to get a perfect match. However, I encountered an issue today after re-installing my D4S's from HIDextra. The headlights light up, however very little if any is being projected onto the road. I read through several threads and attempted to adjust my headlights with a screw driver. I got the bubbles to be in spec but still no difference. I was hoping if there are any locals in the San Jose/Milpitas area who can please help me.... my last resort is to bring it to a Lexus dealership.
If anyone could help, I am more than willing to meet you up. Thank you all.

this seems funny but I put the HID bulb upside down and it does that, double check on that, I was trying to adjust my headlight too but the light cutoff didnt move up and down because the bulb was upside down

Thanks Bozookah. I double checked and my bulbs were not installed upside down. I put my stocks back in and everything is fine. I'm guessing something might have happened to the bulbs. Thanks again for the helpful reply.

Try posting this in the "lighting" forum. My guess is that you went with a higher kelvin rated bulb and are expecting more than you will get, mods arent usually practical, just nice looking Before I did my retro fit (and even know actually) there is a significant difference when you stray away from the factory 4300k bulbs. The other issue that may be the problem is that you're using a D4S bulb when you should be using a D2R bulb. I'm not certain, but iirc the band around the D2R bulb is what creates the cutoff.

in addition... I just read (I like to research problems ) and I quote:
"Most vehicles with HID Headlights use
HID-D2R or HID-D2S bulbs. If your vehicle
calls for D2R/S bulbs, you CANNOT use
D4S."
"HID-D4S Xenon bulbs can ONLY be used
on vehicles that specifically call for
HID-D4S bulbs. At the present time, D4S
bulbs are only used in newer Toyota and
Lexus headlights."

Turns out I got a defective pair of bulbs which I am working on getting replaced under their warranty policy. Thanks for all the help everyone. I am aware that going up in the kelvin rating = lower lumens and I will say 6k is not much loss compared to stock 4300k. It was just odd that no light appeared on the road whatsoever but the projector lens was lit up.
