any updates on the oakland caravan? i might ride along if i'm able to take that day off from work.
Just buzzed through the thread and it looks like PEARLIS250, wyee99, and dsm3FIDDY have expressed interested in an Oakland caravan, which could possibly merge with the SF caravan as they are coming across the San Mateo Bridge. You want to take the lead on an Oakland caravan Kenny? I can update the first post with details once you figure it out. You need to pick a time/location and coordinate with the SF people. LMK.
^ you can still come with the group, i guess the only difference is you have to park outside parking lot if you are not on the official registration list
Ugh I'm on the waiting list #2/5. Tentative for now
You're second on the waiting list? I'm sure you'll get in. In fact, I'm so confident you'll get in that I'm adding you to the caravan list. First post updated.
Sorry to bump this up, I should have chimed in earlier.
I think a merge at Stoneridge mall will be easier since it's right on 680. This is where a few of us met last year to caravan down to BOS. This way, people from Vacaville, Fairfield, Vallejo, Concord and WC don't have to go out a mile to the Santa Rita exit.
I could always just wait off the side of the freeway if the McD's spot is set in stone.
^ I thought about that MaxNine, but with Stoneridge Mall you have to drive a little ways to get to the actual mall, thus increasing the chances of confusion/broken convoy. With McD's, it's right off the freeway and it's pretty hard to miss the gigantic golden arches. Anyone else want to chime in/make a suggestion?
First post updated - caravan is coming along nicely. Still open to suggestions if people don't like the McDonald's meetup point, but I still can't think of any alternatives that are good enough to warrant changing the plans.
