Default Moving to Davis from San Diego, need help/insight?

Hey guys, are there any of you that live in or near Davis? What is it like up there other than farms and cows and what is there to do? Will I need a car while Im at UCD?

I heard there's absolutely nothing to do at UCD lol... Shoulda gone to UCSD I really enjoyed it. San Diego has good balance. Too bad they don't have a football team... it will really unite students.

Yes, you will definitely need a car unless you just want to walk around the farms and cows

Damn, I'm actually moving down to SD for UCSD haha Davis is boring if you don't know anyone. There isn't much to do besides going into downtown to hit up some bars or eat honestly. But like anything, if you have a lot of friends up here then it shouldn't be a problem.

don't park under any trees...the crows will completely cover your car with poo and then the Davis sun will bake it onto your car...then its really hard to clean off

Hmm, what to do in Davis... Either exercise a lot in their gym, or join a frat and party your *** off. Or simply get to know people and you'll find out there's a party almost every night.

I didn't go UCD, but everytime I visited my friends there was a party going on so go figure. There is just about nothing to do in the day time though.

There is nothing to do in Davis. I was up there a few years back visiting my friend's cousin who went to UC Davis and oh my.... how boring. Sorry I'm not very insightful, but just wanted to agree with everyone else in this thread.

There's pretty much nothing to do there. Have a car, get away when you can. Or just get out as soon as you can. lol
