Default touch up paint job

Do you know of a shop that can can get minor scratches and chips filled and do a good job?

I tried the factory touchup paint but the repair doesn't look that good, I want to find a real pro to do it. Am I looking for a body shop or detailing place?

In the east bay or dublin area if possible, but also work near redwood city.

Are there any advantages to Dr. Colorchip over a dealer-provided touch up paint? Anything out there that will level out a chip?

Just checked out the colorchip $50..

because one of the chip is to the primer.
I am hoping it build up nice? even if it can bring it up closer.. factory touch up paint are really thin and don't build well.

The shop put the touch up paint a bit over the chip edge to make it look even bigger
I could have done that myself..

Hmmm, let me ask Vince at Omega Werks. He's a tint and clear bra master, but I remember him or someone menitioning that he does touch up work on paint chips before throwing down a clear bra. He's in Pleasanton too right next to Dublin (where I live).

You might also want to put a call into Detail Addict, see if they might be able to help. I'm looking for the same thing as you. Not ready to respray my front bumper yet, but would like to minimize the appearance of paint chips.

Hey neighbor, I found this guy with superb reviews
but looks like his specialty is sand the area and paint a small area for maybe a few hundred dollars.

My car has 2000 miles on it and solid white, I would hate to do such a repaint and rather live with the visible shape of the chips.

^ Nice find. I shot him an initial message/email. Do you live in Dublin as well? Maybe he can do both our cars at the same time and we can get a package deal. Let me know if you find any other good leads. Thanks!

I'm in Livermore, he has told me to send him a pic so I will do that first. Just want to see what he can do that doesn't involve a spray job.

its almost impossible to match pearl, i have a IS250 in Glacier Frost Mica. And i used dr colorchip. Of course its not going to match perfectly, but it looks pretty good.
