"On October 3, 2010 we will be bringing all makes and models of Lexus together for our 9th annual End of Summer meet."
Won't make this one since it's for "Lexus" makes and my IS is just a beater and not even sure if the Supra will be outta the shop. Plus, gotta get it ready for the RPM show the following Saturday

It is quite dissappointing that the NorCal and SoCal crews will not be able to get together, where traditionally these activities have been the best opportunity for the two regions to GTG. Going back in time to all the previous EOS events, the SoCal crew has always had good representation during my tenure as the coordinator for EOS 1,2,3,4,5 & 7. We have had people from LA, San Diego, Oregon, Las Vegas and Arizona attend.
Although people will have to decide which event to attend this year, the loss of attendance is relatively minimal given that the record for out of town EOS Attendees is about 20 cars and EOS registration has historically been between 125 and 175 cars.
I am in the same boat as you. When I registered for EOS, I didn't realize "The Pursuit 2" was on the same day. My car will also be right in the middle of being re-built for debut at SEMA in Las Vegas on November 2nd. With a SEMA deadline, along with the fact that I committed to attending "The Pursuit 2", means I will probably not attend EOS8.
I'm still holding on to a bare thread that the EOS date can be changed.

SEMA SEMA SEMA... Sharpie Lexus is supposed to go into transformation to Project Stealth.. but still missing 1/2 the parts.. and i have a broken front bumper
