You should never take it that far. All I'm trying to say is that newcomers shouldn't get the impression that we are clicky or that we don't go out of our way to greet new people (we do try to greet people). As I said earlier, it's the environment that lends itself for friends who seldom see each other to gather their attention. Feel free to approach any veteran members and introduce yourself, we're a friendly bunch. As long as you are not standing in a corner waiting for people to come up to you, you'll be fine.

I started EOS 9 years ago with the intent to get people to come out of cyberspace and to personally know the real people behind the screen names. The online relationships are entirely different, once people have met face to face at a meet. I have since passed on EOS & BOS ownership to other members, but I'm still here to support. Stop by and introduce yourself.

Actually these meets are for YOU! These meets are good for new people to meet and put a face to a screen name. My first EOS was last year and I went alone! Boy it was awkward, but the 'family' was so nice that I was able to feel very much accepted and comfortable I suggest though bringing another person to mingle with and dont shy away from meeting people, cause that will make it hard but as said above, mini meets are a good idea. We have 2 months before EOS, so try to find some local meets to go to between now and then so you can meet people on the small scale

Right on As for me, it was great being recognized at my first event. I'm the only one brave enough to run on 22's to a CL event

EOS two years ago was my first event. It was GREAT! I met a lot of the Norcal members and had a fun time.

BOS a couple of months ago and the mini meet last week were my very first couple of Lexus meets. I had a great experience at both meeting members. It's always nice to put a face behind a screen name. Same is true when my wife and I attend the annual Blizzcon in Anaheim and meet people we game with on a daily basis on Starcraft and WoW. (yes, we play those games way too much) lol.

As Glen stated, its difficult to "really" meet the veteran members at the big events. However, I got to meet and hang out with members local to your area that I met at my caravan location. Which is something pretty cool and should definitely consider. And just to reiterate, at the mini meets is where you can hang out and converse with all the members there.

I am looking forward to all future meets.

haha... yea... i've been to 3 Blizzcons. Been playing WoW for 5 years. Hardcore raiding endgame content for about 3 years. Recently quit about 6 months ago when my son was born. I was ONLY able to have a raiding schedule like that because my wife plays too.

^ That's so cool your wife is into gaming haha. My girlfriend starts to really get on my case after only an hour of gaming. I wouldn't dare touch WoW, it would likely ruin my life.
