This is a sad day for the Peninsula.

The initial information on damaged/destroyed homes was corrected to the following info as of 8:15am:

38 homes destroyed , 7 homes with significant damage.

4 deaths reported so far and search teams have begun their task.

Obviously this information will continue to be updated.

Thought's and prayers go out to all those injured, killed or displaced.

I know of one CL member who lives near the area, but he and his family are safe and fine, though their kids heard/felt the explosion and saw the fire.

seems like pg&e has alot of problems lately. wasnt there something that happened near van ness a couple of months back? hope everyone is safe.

This is absolutely horrible. My brother was out there last night at 10pm checking on things for me. My house is one of the lucky ones. It's on the bottom side of Skyline.

Prayers sent to them from deep within my heart.
