ernest: I know what you mean; they're called fair-weather fans. I've been waiting since 2002 for this playoff run. Bring on the Phillies! BTW: We are batting even better than the Phillies in the postseason.

Giants fan all my life. After the heartbreaking World series loss to the Angels, I gradually lost interest in baseball. The only thing that kept me going was Bond's HR quest, but the past couple years have been pretty good. This year's probably the most exciting year in a LONGGGG time. I love it (and hate it) how everything is so ridiculously close.

Making playoffs on the last game of the season.
Winning by just 1 run vs Braves game 1 (Timmy is so beast!).
11 innings for game 2, lost to a massive homer, no less.
Blowing game 3's lead in the 8th inning, then barely taking it back in the 9th.

Go Giants!

Fair weather fans FTL. I know several people who admittedly (at least last year) HATE baseball, but now that the Giants are winning they're suddenly diehard fans.

i was at game 2 and it was ridiculous. really thought we had it after burrells homer, *** getting ejected, and ross scoring to make it 4-0.

You'll know the real Giants fans when you talk to them about players and their history. I hate talking Giants baseball (or baseball in general) with someone and they have no clue what you are talking about. I follow the Giants during the season and off-season. The hot stove is just as exciting as the games are.

TORRRTURRRE!!

PS. What's this talk about 2002 and world series? If I recall correctly, there was no WS in 2002. Hmm..

Growing up a Giants and Yankees fan this could be a great fall if everything works out like it should!
