Nothing too hard about installing air. The actual suspension part of it is the hard part. Running lines is easy. Just ziptie to the fuel lines away from the exhaust.

like I said previously,
1k is not bad for the work they have to do
when I was looking into those installation price,
it ranged from $1400~1800..so 1k is cheap IMO

like chrispy said, installing AIR is not that hard
but if you are also installing Dakota Digital, then it's different story
too many wires that you have to connect and tap into your current wires

The cost really depend on you of you thought of any other types of adjsutabel suspension maybe hydro? there is a compnay on AZ that sales and install a get set up I can send you pictures if interested, but if you are sure you want air you have to think how many air tanks? how many compressors? and how fast do you want it to go up and down along with how many swithces you want for beside up and down. LMK I will help you along with this even if you decide to go somewhere else. Air Runner kits can run up to 4400 for air runner and about 2900 for other good kits,but thats just the product then you have to pay someone to put it in. here are some of the pictures of cars that have been done for Hydroholics you can check out there web site here the address.
